Work ends at some point. The village doesn’t. Popoyo events at Esc are made for people who spend their days at a laptop: retreat guests, community members and their guests.
Our events are the easiest way to get to know the people working next to you in our coworking space in Popoyo, once the laptops are closed.
Retreat guests, community members and their guests are invited to all our community events: founders’ dinners, networking evenings and the bigger community nights. Workshops are open to everyone, usually with a fee, and members get a discount.
One long table, food from the kitchen and people building something: a company, a product, a freelance business. No pitches and no name tags.
Hands-on sessions where someone who knows a subject shares it with the room. Topics follow the people in the village at the time:

Relaxed evenings to meet other remote workers, from small networking get-togethers to the bigger community events. Not everyone here writes code, so the creative side of the village gets its turn too: come to look, to talk, or to bring something of your own.

Esc shares the village with La Jolla de Guasacate, and Magnific Rock is a short ride away on the free shuttle. Between them, the week has its own rhythm, with live music, sunsets and food nights. Magnific Rock also hosts Nica Night, with folkloric dance.
